Mullein Torch
BURN WITH CAUTION- BIG FLAME, BURN OUTSIDE
Homegrown and Foraged Mullein stalk dipped in beeswax.
These torches burn at usually 6 mins per inch, but it varies per stalk. The flame can be up to 4 inches.
Hags Tapers, Mullein Torches, Witches Candles, Hecate's torch. There are so many names.
Perfect for Samhain, Yule, or any ceremony you are performing, Mullein candles are thought to thin the veil between worlds. Great for divination and ancestral work.
The flame is usually pretty big, so I recommend burning outside. I usually set one in an old wine/beer bottle. Adding a small hole to a cork can help stabilize them!
Light with intention.
In the pictures with flames, that is a very small one I made for demonstration purposes.
Please note that these are plant based, they aren't a standard size, variations are expected.
***Always burn candles on a non flammable surface. Use a candle plate to catch wax drips***
FAQS
*Why does it look like my candle is covered in white powder/film?
This is called bloom and it's a good way to know that the candles are 100% beeswax. It occurs naturally over time and can be wiped off if it bothers you.
*They are too pretty, I don't want to burn them!
Celebrate the fleeting beauty! Since the flowers are dried and pressed into the candle with no color preservative, they will eventually fade. I find it takes 1-2 years depending on how much light they are exposed to. Once this happens, you won't feel so bad about it!
*Do you offer any scents?
No, I prefer the very subtle honey scent of beeswax and stay away from artificial scents that can cause many people respiratory issues. Did you know beeswax candles clean the air while they are burning?
*Should I throw away the extra wax?
No! You can use it in so many ways, even combining the wax from a few candles to make a new one! If you end up with a large collection, email me about trading it in for a new candle.
